Halifax Repertory Theatre Academy is a private middle and high school serving students in grades 6–12 who are passionate about the performing arts. We combine structured, Florida Standard academics with daily conservatory-style arts training in a professional, performance-driven environment.
At HRT Academy, students do not choose between academics and the arts — they pursue both at a high level every single day.
Our Dual-Track Daily Schedule (Mon–Fri):
8:30 AM – 11:30 AM | Morning Academic Block
Core subjects delivered through a fully accredited online platform staffed by Florida-certified teachers. Students work on campus with supervision and real-time support.
12:30 PM – 3:30 PM | Afternoon Conservatory Block
Daily elite arts training in acting, voice, dance, improvisation, technical theatre, stagecraft, and theatre business. Performance opportunities will be available to all students in the Arts Program. Students are preparing for real productions with real audiences.
For Academics, we are proud to partner with EdOptions Academy, a nationally recognized virtual school whose students consistently outperform national averages on SAT and ACT assessments. High school credit tracking, Advanced Placement options, SAT/ACT prep, and college/NCAA readiness are built into our academic structure.
HRT Academy is not an after-school program. It is a full-day commitment to developing the whole student — academically, artistically, and personally.
Enrollment Options:
• Academics + Arts Academy (Full Program) – $15,000/year
Full academic instruction plus daily conservatory training and required performances.
• Arts Academy Only (Homeschool Companion Program) – $10,000/year
Daily conservatory training and full production participation for families maintaining independent homeschool academics.
Quarterly and monthly payment plans are available. Scholarships may be available based on funding and eligibility.
e-mail Sandy at scook@halifaxrep.com to discuss and to request an Application for consideration. We will also need to schedule an in person audition (please prepare 2 contrasting songs and a monologue), an in person meeting with student and parent to discuss enrollment and scholarship possibilities.
Transcripts requested for full-program applicants
We are building something truly special - a conservatory model that develops disciplined, confident, college-ready young artists while keeping every academic door open.
